Stay at La Creuzette
We introduced short-stay visits to the La Creuzette itinerary by popular demand. Guests may visit La Creuzette as a tranquil getaway for a few days, add on extra days after their La Creuzette experience, or just stop over for an overnight stay en route to the south of France. These options are offered on a bed-and-breakfast basis, but can also be customised to suit guests’ needs. Short-stay bookings for a minimum of two nights’ stay can be made from mid-April to the end of October, subject to availability. A mandatory Tourist Tax amount of €0.66 per person per night is not included in the rates.
Arthur Rimbaud Room
Dedicated to the French poet, Arthur Rimbaud, this twenty square metre bedroom has a spectacular 19th century tapestry carton, hand painted on French linen. It almost covers the entire wall behind the two three-quarter beds.
Marie Antoinette Room
Two centuries after her death by guillotine in 1793, the name of this French queen remains shrouded in infamy and intrigue. Nonetheless, Marie Antoinette's undeniably unique sense of style and creative genius reflected at Le Petit Trianon at Versaille, heralded a new vogue in decorating.
Joséphine de Beauharnais Room
Her beguiling beauty, creative spirit and joie de vivre, inspired many fashion and decorative trends. Joséphine de Beauharnais' Château de Malmaison became the focus of the beau monde and the creative avant-garde. Her famous gardens were fragments from paradise.
Sarah Bernhardt Room
At the beginning of the Belle Epoque, the Divine Sarah was a French stage and early film actress. In her heyday she was referred to as the "most famous actress the world has ever known".
George Sand Room
Named after the celebrated 19th century writer and local personality, this north-facing twenty square metre room overlooks the parterre garden and decorative lily pond.
Words just aren't enough. Every aspect of our week here exceeded expectation. We sincerely hope to be back before long. Thank you, thank you.
