George Sand Room
Named after the celebrated 19th century writer and local personality, this north-facing twenty square metre room overlooks the parterre garden and decorative lily pond.
Sand was a French novelist and memoirist. She was also known for her much publicised friendships with the composers and pianists Frédéric Chopin, Franz List and the writers Alfred de Musset and Gustav Flaubert. During the 1870s she was a guest at La Creuzette. Mme Sand was also a guest at the Boussac Castle where she wrote her bestselling novel, Jeanne.
Room configuration includes a king size bed, which can be separated into two single beds and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. An enormous tapestry carton typical of an Aubusson verdure presides over the artistically appointed room.
All the rooms at La Creuzette have WiFi internet, a hairdryer and embroidered towelling gowns. The beds are made up with antique, hand embroidered French linens and other luxury accoutrements. A luxury range of La Creuzette bathroom toiletries is replenished daily.
Reservations for a minimum stay of two nights.
