Guests are met in Paris at Charles de Gaulle airport in the morning and transported to la Creuzette, your chateau holiday residence in Boussac village. We stop for a light lunch en route. An early afternoon tea and coffee with mignardises (French confectionaries) awaits us at la Creuzette. Later, you will have time to unpack, explore the grounds or take a stroll through the village. Cocktails are served in the salon followed by a four-course welcome dinner of regional specialities at 20h00 prepared by your hosts, Hardy and Louis.
We start the day with breakfast followed by an introduction and course discussion with Louis in the art studio at 10h00. Lunch follows with an afternoon painting session until 17h30. After freshening up, we gather for aperatifs and an art DVD at 19h00 followed by dinner.
Within easy walking distance of the chateau, market day in Boussac is always a lively affair. Browse at leisure for an hour or so or we do some shopping together to find ingredients to inspire us for the day’s lunch and dinner menus. We head back to la Creuzette for mid-morning tea followed by a late morning painting session in the studio at 11h00. We break for lunch in the garden at 13h00 after which we gather in the art studio again for an afternoon of painting from 14h00 until 17h30. Time to relax a little before enjoying cocktails and an art DVD at 19h00. Dinner follows.
Full day in the art studio. Breakfast is followed by a morning painting session from 10h00 until 13h00. Lunch is served in the garden. The afternoon painting session in the art studio is from 14h00 to 17h30. Later we unwind with pre-dinner drinks, watch an art DVD and sit down to dinner.
Full day in the art studio. After breakfast your morning painting session begins at 10h00 and ends at 13h00 when we stop for lunch in the garden. After the afternoon painting session from 14h00 until 16h00 guests can enjoy an optional visit to Chateau de Boussac. Dating back to the 11th century, this fortified castle is brimming with antique treasures. We may also have the rare opportunity to see the owners’ private apartments, which are not usually open to the general public. A participative cooking demonstration follows back at la Creuzette and then a delicious dinner of our making.
After an early breakfast we set off to a nearby brocante (French country antiques and bric-a-brac market). Do some browsing and haggling for everything from vintage clothing to mirrors and French linens. At noon we regroup for a light lunch in the brocante village at one of the specially set up venues. In the early afternoon, we return to la Creuzete for our final painting session in the studio, which ends with an exhibition of all the artworks produced during the week. After aperitifs in the salon we sit down to our farewell dinner.
The day begins with a late morning leisurely brunch. We leave for the station where your fast train departs for Paris. When you arrive in the city, the day is yours to do as you please until you leave for the airport.
